ACL, has consistently captured attention over the years, making headlines and advancements in the Indian polymer industry. What is the secret recipe behind this success?
To effectively serve and lead the Indian market in any field, one must harbor a sense of patriotism for the country. Only then will modern-day India extend a welcoming hand, offering limitless opportunities in any chosen field. However, we have witnessed numerous organizations fail in India because their business motives were confined to mere commerce. Such self-centered motives are ineffective in contemporary India. Our business objective is to thrive alongside every Indian partner who aspires to grow with modern India.
How does ACL precisely assist Indian polymer buyers in their growth?
In the past, the prices of Indian polymer raw materials exceeded those of Chinese finished products. How can we consider this fair competition when the starting points are different in the same race? With ACL’ s robust global sourcing capabilities, we have significantly reduced the price levels in India, ensuring that plastic manufacturers can derive maximum benefits from fair pricing and superior-quality raw materials not previously supplied to India. Now, with the aforementioned arrangement, we take pride in observing that even our customers purchasing 1 metric ton per month are now effortlessly buying 100 metric tons per month. This validates my assertion that ACL grows in tandem with our customers.
I am already impressed by the way this interview is going, Mr. Kuntal. Do you face any challenges from the competition that could be a roadblock to achieving your Indian growth story?
Not at all. There is enough opportunity for everyone in current India. I keep saying this is the era of ” Collab oration and not Competition.” If someone still keeps thinking about how to beat their competition, acquire clients from competition, or hire staff from competition, it’s only their insecurity speaking, and it will take them down first with this shallowness.
We focus sharply on our customers and solving their pain areas, never worrying about the competition.

I agree. Thought process indeed defines actions. What raw materials do you offer to India?
We offer almost all kinds of plastic raw materials:
•Commodities
•Engineering, and most importantly
•Sustainable to service the huge demand from Automotive, Appliances, Medical, Toys, Textile, Lighting, Building materials industries.
Could you elaborate on the impact of the current weak demand in China on the global polymer industry, specifically addressing the perceived imbalance between demand and supply in various polymers, Mr. Kuntal Sanghvi?
I think more than China getting weaker, I believe China is becoming self-sustainable, particularly when we talk about petrochemical products. Hence, as more capacities go live in China, overseas imports will reduce, making overseas makers feel Chinese demand is slow. However, there is quite a high possibility that the same demand has diverted to local capacities added.
I believe Chinese new capacities of new plants are here to stay, and the demand- supply ratio will be recalibrated.
In 2024, what new products does ACL plan to bring to the Indian market?
We have several new grade launches lined up this year that the Indian market has not seen before:

We are blessed to be born in this era full of opportunities and freedom. Just make good, clean choices and elevate yourself from day- to-day grinding to support a larger cause through your business and your actions. This is the true meaning of sustainability.
