An Exclusive Interview With Mr. Sunil Dutt Chowdhary Director Haitian India

An Exclusive Interview With Mr. Sunil Dutt Chowdhary Director Haitian India

Can you provide an overview of Haitian India and its journey since its establishment in 2015?
Haitian India is the wholly-owned subsidiary of the world’s largest manufacturer of injection molding machines. Our Indian operations began modestly in 2015 in Gujarat, and in 2018, we celebrated the completion of our brand new manufacturing unit at Ahmedabad. We entered into an MOU with the Gujarat Government under the Make in India Project, solidifying our commitment to local manufacturing. Our facility spans 52,000 sq.mtrs. of built-up area and includes a state-of-the-art machine assembling unit.

Could you elaborate on the Make in India Project and how it has influenced Haitian India’s operations and growth in the country?
Under the Make in India Project, we purchased 10 acres of land in Mascot Industrial Park, Gujarat, demonstrating our dedication to local production. This initiative aligns with our commitment to supporting the growth of the Indian manufacturing sector. The additional 5 acres acquired in 2019 for machine manufacturing further strengthened our presence and operational capabilities.

How has Haitian India positioned itself to meet the demands for flexibility in manufacturing and costsavings, especially in the current market scenario?

We recognize the increasing demand for flexibility in manufacturing and cost savings. Our response to this is what we term as “Technology to the Point.” We manufacture MARS and Jupiter series servo hydraulic machines, offering flexibility and cost- effectiveness. Additionally, we provide 2 Platen Machines and Electric Machines, catering to diverse needs and preferences in the market. Our focus on all plastics pro cessing industries, including Automobiles, Packaging, Construction, and Houseware, underscores our commitment to versatility.

What are the core competencies of Haitian India, particularly in terms of solutions in servo-hydraulics and electrics for various industries?
Our core competencies lie in providing solutions in servo-hydraulics and electrics for diverse requirements and industries such as automotive, packaging, and consumer goods. Whether it’s for the automotive sector, packaging industry, or consumer goods, Haitian India serves as a single provider for all injection molding machine needs. This approach enables us to deliver comprehensive solutions tailored to our clients’ specific demands.

Can you shed light on the range of products offered by Haitian India, including the MARS and Jupiter series, 2 Platen Machines, and Electric Machines?
We manufacture MARS and Jupiter series servo hydraulic machines, ranging from 86T to 900T. Additionally, our product line includes 2 Platen Machines from 1080T to 4000T and Electric Machines ranging from 40T to 1380T, sourced from China. These machines cater to a wide spectrum of applications, spanning from standard to precision plastic parts. Our major application areas include automobiles, packaging, construction, and housewares.

The focus on Electrical Injection Molding Machines is evident. Could you share insights into how these machines contribute to Haitian India’s success and the advantages they bring to operators?
Success for us is a blend of competence, visionary power, courage, determination, correct timing, humility, and a bit of luck. Our Electrical Injection Molding Machines, developed in collaboration with Haitian International, epitomize this success. These machines are all-electric, high-grade energy- efficient, and offer precision injection molding at an attractive price/performance ratio. They not only create competitive advantages for operators but also open up new horizons by integrating revolutionary ideas into professional solutions.

Zhafir Plastics Machinery is a premium brand under Haitian International. How does Zhafir contribute to the overall offerings of Haitian India, and what distinguishes it in the market?
Zhafir Plastics Machinery, founded in 2005, has evolved into a premium brand under Haitian International. Our range of electric injection molding machines, with capacities from 400 – 33,000 kN, covers the full spectrum of the plastics processing industry. Zhafir focuses on delivering premium quality and cost-efficiency in the manufacture of standard and precision plastic parts. This brand’s sophisticated offerings complement Haitian India’s commitment to providing comprehensive solutions to our customers.

Looking ahead, what are the future plans and aspirations of Haitian India in the Indian market?
We are committed to furthering our presence and contri butionto the Indian manufacturing landscape. Our focus is on continuous innovation, meeting the evolving needs of industries, and reinforcing our commitment to the Make in India initiative. We aim to be at the forefront of providing cutting-edge injection molding solutions, contributing to the growth and success of our clients and the Indian manufacturing sector as a whole.

How has Haitian India navigated challenges in the industry, and what strategies have been employed to maintain a strong market presence?
Navigating challenges in the industry requires adaptability and a customer-centric approach. We have consistently focused on understanding the dynamic needs of the market and tailoring our offerings accordingly. Continuous improvement, technological advancements, and a robust support and service infrastructure have been integral to maintaining a strong market presence. Our ability to overcome challenges stems from our commitment to delivering value and building lasting relationships with our clients.

In conclusion, could you summarize the unique value proposition that Haitian India brings to its clients and the Indian manufacturing sector?
Haitian India stands as a reliable and innovative partner for the Indian manufacturing sector. Our unique value proposition lies in our commitment to local manufacturing through the Make in India initiative, a diverse product range catering to various industries, and a customer-centric approach.
