UBQ Materials Earns UL 2809 Recycled Content Validation for UBQ
UBQ’s waste-based thermoplastic offers the industry a secure source of recycled-content feedstock
UBQ Materials, climate tech developer of advanced materials made from unsorted waste, including all organics, announced today that its UBQ Powder has received the UL Environmental Claim Validation for containing a minimum of 100 percent post-consumer recycled content.
UL, a global safety science leader, holds companies accountable to sustainability claims through independent and objective assessment using its rigorous science-based approach. The UL 2809 certification confirms that UBQ™ Powder is composed entirely of post-consumer recycled content. Companies and manufacturers can substitute oil-based resins with UBQ™ to maximize post-consumer recycled content in products.
European plastics industry groups have aligned themselves with the policy proposal from the European Commission to meet mandatory minimum of 30% recycled content in plastic packaging by 2030.
