STEER World (STEER), a global leader in advanced materials platform technologies and engineering solutions, today announced the appointment of Mr. Sankaraiah Rajagopal as a Non-Executive Director on its Board, marking an important step in strengthening the company’s institutional capabilities as it prepares for its next phase of growth.
The appointment comes at a pivotal stage in STEER’s growth journey, as the company seeks to complement its technological leadership with robust corporate governance, strategic financial management and disciplined capital allocation. As STEER expands the commercial reach of its innovations across global markets, the company is strengthening its leadership and governance capabilities to support sustainable, long-term value creation.
Mr. Sankaraiah brings more than four decades of experience in corporate finance, global mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, corporate restructuring, financial reporting and regulatory compliance. His extensive experience across multinational businesses, capital markets and corporate transformation will provide valuable strategic perspectives as STEER advances its growth ambitions.
He currently serves as Board Advisor to the Baxy Group and Delhi Heart & Lung Institute. Also he was Group Financial Advisor at Jubilant Bhartia Group, and Senior Advisor and Mentor at Protiviti India. He is also the founder of StraFin Solutions, a strategic consulting firm. Previously, he served as Executive Director – Finance at Jubilant Life Sciences for over 18 years, following 17 years at SRF Limited.
A Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Mr. Sankaraiah has contributed to several prominent national and international professional bodies, including the IFRS Advisory Council of the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB), London; SEBI’s Committee on Disclosures and Accounting Standards (SCODA); CII’s National Committee on Financial Reporting; and the PHD Chamber of Commerce.
His professional contributions have been recognized through several distinctions, including the India CFO Award by IMA, CNBC TV18’s Best Performing CFO in Pharma, Most Influential CFOs by CIMA and ICAI’s Best CFO Award.
