HIPLEX 2026 Concludes on a High Note, Generates over ₹150 Crore in Business
- 110+ machines sold; new orders and enquiries expected to generate business worth another ₹500 crore
- Over 55,000 visitors visited four-day Plastics Expo; exhibitors applaud quality of business visitors
HIPLEX 2026, South and Central India’s largest plastics exhibition and India’s third-largest plastics expo, concluded on a high note in Hyderabad on Mondy evening with exhibitors reporting strong business enquiries, machinery sales and new orders during the four-day event.
The exhibition, organised by the Telangana and Andhra Plastics Manufacturers Association (TAAPMA) at HITEX, attracted more than 55,000 visitors over four days, including manufacturers, buyers, technology providers, investors, entrepreneurs and industry professionals from across India and overseas.
A major highlight of the exhibition was the strong response to plastics processing and ancillary machinery. More than 110 machines were sold during the exhibition, while around 75 per cent of ancillary equipment displayed by participating companies was sold, according to the organisers.
Several machinery exhibitors received orders ranging from one to as many as six machines, besides generating a large number of enquiries and follow-up business opportunities.
Based on the orders booked and business generated during the exhibition, the organisers estimate that business transactions worth more than ₹150 crore were generated during HIPLEX 2026. The large number of enquiries and prospective orders generated at the exhibition is expected to translate into additional business of around ₹500 crore in the coming months.
The organisers said the increased manufacturing and business activity is also expected to contribute to higher GST revenues for the State, besides creating opportunities across the plastics manufacturing, machinery, logistics, services and ancillary sectors.
More than 55,000 visitors attended the four-day exhibition, making it one of the largest gatherings of plastics industry stakeholders in the region.
According to the organisers, exhibitors were particularly pleased with the quality of visitors, with a significant number comprising decision-makers, purchase teams, manufacturers, entrepreneurs and technology seekers.
Visitors had the opportunity to see the latest plastics processing machinery and technologies, interact directly with senior company representatives and negotiate business deals at the exhibition stalls.
The extensive display of live machinery and processing technologies emerged as one of the major attractions, enabling visitors to understand the capabilities of new equipment and explore solutions for improving productivity, automation, recycling and manufacturing efficiency.
HIPLEX 2026 featured advanced machinery, raw materials, moulds, automation solutions, recycling technologies, bio-polymers, packaging solutions and other products covering the plastics value chain.
The Dedicated Recycling Pavilion was another major attraction, showcasing how plastic waste can be transformed into useful and commercially valuable products and demonstrating the growing importance of the circular economy.
The organisers also focused strongly on visitor and exhibitor experience.
Free drinking water and tea were made available to visitors and exhibitors throughout the exhibition. Special hospitality arrangements were made for exhibitors, including lunch, airport pick-up and drop, hotel transfers and transportation to and from the exhibition venue.
The organisers said these arrangements were aimed at ensuring that exhibitors could focus on business, networking and customer engagement throughout the four-day event.
HIPLEX 2026 brought together manufacturers, machinery producers, technology providers, raw material suppliers, recyclers, buyers, investors and entrepreneurs on a common platform.
The strong machinery sales, substantial business enquiries and positive exhibitor feedback, according to TAAPMA, demonstrate the growing demand for advanced plastics processing technologies and the expanding opportunities in India’s plastics and polymer industry.
The organisers expressed confidence that the business leads generated during HIPLEX 2026 would translate into significant investments, technology adoption, capacity expansion and new manufacturing opportunities in the months ahead.
