New Ethy-Lyte Bope Films for Mono-Material Packaging Solutions at Interpack 2023
The Ethy-Lyte BOPE films are increasingly adopted in the flexible packaging market as excellent PE printing films for recyclable Mono PE structures. Ethy-Lyte films are substituting conventional Polyester or Nylon printing films in lamination with PE films, thus creating fully recyclable Mono PE packaging solutions.
The broad range of Ethy-Lyte printing films includes high gloss, matte, sealable and also 2 side printable films to cover all type of print designs, i.e. matt-gloss effects. The Mono PE structures can be used for all pack formats and various applications in food and non-food market.
Recently the new Ethy-Lyte high barrier films are also conquering the packaging market in a very fast and successful way. These high barrier films preserve the overall food quality as well as aroma and taste of sensitive products thus guaranteeing long shelf life:
25HD800: 25μm transparent, high barrier BOPE printing film, one side coated with EVOH. The film provides excellent gas and aroma protection and is designed as a printing web to be laminated with PE sealing films, for creating recyclable 2-ply Mono PE laminates.
25HDM285: 25μm metallized, high barrier BOPE lamination film. The film provides excellent gas and aroma protection and is designed as a mid-layer for 3-ply Mono PE laminates. This film is a substitute for conventional metallized PET- or even Aluminium films resulting in fully recyclable Mono PE laminates.
25HDTSPM: 25μm metallized BOPE lamination film. The film provides high Water Vapour barrier and is also suitable for decorative applications and is designed as a mid-layer for 3-ply Mono PE laminates.
Typical applications are flexible packaging for sensitive products, where Oxygen, Water Vapour and Aroma barrier is needed:
- Fresh Food, stored under chilled conditions in the fridge; transparent packaging solutions in 2-ply laminates; for cheese, grated cheese, meat products and processed food.
- Nuts, nut mixtures and dried fruits; packaging solutions in Duplex and Triplex laminates.
- Coffee applications with long shelf life, like packaging for ground coffee, coffee beans or coffee pads.
